A Round Up of Recent News & Events from the Online Casino Industry

A lot has been happening in the online gambling industry over the past few weeks and in this section we will be looking at some of the major highlights. Playtech and Net Ent have both recently signed new contracts with major UK operators, there are several new online slot tournaments now available and plenty of new games also arrived.
A leading UK operator called Sky Betting and Gaming recently appointed Playtech as the exclusive provider of Online Casino Games and Live Dealer Casino Games and this means that UK players can now find several great products at this impressive cross-platform gambling portal such as Sky Bet, Sky Bingo, Sky Poker, Sky Vegas, Sky Casino and Sky Live Casino.
“We are delighted to launch Sky Casino where our customers will enjoy a classic casino experience with more personalised promotions and rewards,” said the Director of Products at Sky Bet, Conor Grant. These words came directly from the official Playtech website. The Playtech COO, Shay Segev, also commented on this latest agreement;
“We have built a strong relationship with Sky over a number of years and are thrilled to be able to further consolidate our service provision to one of the industry’s most exciting operators.” He finished by saying, “We look forward to working with Sky Bet to explore additional business opportunities in the near future.”
The other company to have forged a similar new agreement was Net Entertainment (aka NetEnt). This leading Swedish based software provider recently signed a deal with UK-focussed operator, Betfair. This is another impressive cross-platform gambling portal which is also made up of several different products such as Betfair Sportsbook, Betfair Exchange, Betfair Live Casino, Betfair Poker, Betfair Exchange Games, Betfair Arcade, Betfair Vegas Slots and Betfair Bingo.

This agreement will further strengthen NetEnt’s exposure on the UK market but also in other parts of Europe,” said the Managing Director of Net Entertainment Malta Ltd, Bjorn Krantz. Let’s take a quick look at some of the latest games to have arrived in casinos over the past few weeks. NetEnt’s two latest slot machines included Hit2Split and Attraction. Playtech launched three new slots which included Lucky Streak, Esmeralda and Cat Queen and Microgaming also launched a trio of new slots (on the same day and in the same new series) called So Much Sushi, So Much Candy and So Many Monsters. WMS Gaming also launched a new slot called Roman Chariots.
There are several new Slot Tournaments currently available for new players. One of these events is exclusive to Omni Casino.
